UniCredit Bank offers customers who prematurely terminated deposit agreements loyal conditions for returning

13.03.2014

UniCredit Bank offers return policy to the loyal customers that from 1 December 2013 to 26 February 2014 prematurely terminated deposit agreements due to the unstable situation in the country.

As part of UniCredit Group - one of the largest financial groups in Europe, UniCredit Bank has repeatedly confirmed its reliability. In Ukraine, the bank with dignity passed through more than one crisis, remaining on strong position as one of the largest and most trusted financial institutions. In addition, one of the most important principles of the bank is taking care of customers. That's why, starting from February 26, all customers who prematurely withdrew their deposits will be able to renew contracts on special conditions .

So, all those who withdrew their deposits in the period from December to February, will be able to return to the service and get an extra 1.5% to the base rate on deposits in hryvnia. Those who decided to prematurely withdraw their deposit from 10 to 22 February, will be able to renew the deposit agreement without loss of interest (regardless of the deposit currency). UniCredit Bank will return interest the bank withheld upon early termination.

"UniCredit Group and the management of the Ukrainian bank closely followed the events in the last week and the influence they have had on the decisions of many of our customers to protect their savings. Significant withdrawal of deposits which a banking system has experienced is more than understandable, and the actions of our customers are well explained. As a sign of this understanding, we decided to compensate to our clients the loss of interest at withdrawal of deposits over the past week and offer special terms for all customers who tore deposit agreement from December to February.

This decision not only protects the interests of our customers, but also the entire banking sector,it is a step towards stability, availability of liquidity and preservation of the economic prospects of Ukraine. We are confident that the banking system will come out of such events even more stable and justify the trust of depositors," - said the head of Retail Cetner, member of the management board Lyubomir Punchev.

Loyalty program will run from March 3 to March 22, 2014. Offer is valid only for terminated deposits. For more details, please contact the managers in the branches or in the Contact Center by 0800 5000 20.

NOTE

Ukrsotsbank is one of the largest universal banks of Ukraine, operating in the local market since 1990. The bank offers full range of services to individuals and corporate clients.

The renovated Ukrsotsbank emerged on 31 October 2016 as a result of strategic deal whereby 99.9% of Ukrsotsbank shares have been transferred from UniCredit Group to ABH Holdings S.A. Thus, the bank has combined 26-year-old traditions of Ukrsotsbank’s client-centric attitude, European quality of service inherent to UniCredit, as well as international banking expertise of ABHH in a number of European countries including CIS. Thanks to the successful synthesis and synergy of the two assets of ABHH in Ukraine, Ukrsotsbank and Alfa-Bank, the banking market of Ukraine will see the rise of a new stronger financial institution. This, in turn, will spur up technological advance, increase efficiency, improve quality of service for the clients, reduce cost of banking services whereas their range will inevitably expand.
