Win-win: Ukrsotsbank and Alfa-Bank Ukraine set bilateral domestic tariffs on cash withdrawal and money transfers

Ukrsotsbank and Alfa-Bank Ukraine announced conventional tariffs for cash withdrawal and money transfers within the two banks.

Starting from December 15, 2016, clients of both ABHH subsidiaries in Ukraine will be charged their regular domestic tariff when getting cash at 1087 ATMs: 215 ATMs of Alfa-Bank Ukraine in addition to Ukrsotsbank’s own network counting 872 ATMs throughout Ukraine.

A touch of positive changes has also been applied to money transfer tariffs. Transferring funds between Ukrsotsbank and Alfa-Bank Ukraine current accounts via online and mobile banking will become free of charge starting from December 31, 2016.

Likewise, the new loyal tariffs apply to business customers.

"Unification of tariffs is one of the primary steps testifying to viability of the previously announced quick wins for our clients, resulting from the deal between UniCredit Group and ABH Holdings S.A. Gradual integration will enable allocation of more resources to developing the bank and making our offers simply better. To start with, our clients will now have access to a more than 1000-machines-strong ATM network nationwide. Furthermore, money transfer commissions for individuals have shrunk by over 400%, – noted Artur Atanov, member of the Management Board, Retail Director at Ukrsotsbank. – Let me emphasize that this is only the beginning of unification. Our further improvements and innovations are coming soon."

Flashback: on October 31, 2016, UniCredit Group and ABH Holdings S.A., major shareholder of Alfa-Bank Ukraine, completed the deal to transfer the Group’s 99.9% stake in Ukrsotsbank in exchange for 9.9% minority share in ABHH.

Earlier this year Ukrsotsbank has become the first and only bank in Ukraine introducing the network of contactless ATMs in 5 Ukrainian cities. The first contactless ATM in Ukraine was presented in June during the annual international jazz festival "Alfa Jazz Fest" in Lviv jointly by UniCredit Bank (Ukrsotsbank), Alfa-Bank Ukraine, Euronet Ukraine and MasterCard.

Ukrsotsbank is one of the largest universal banks of Ukraine, operating in the local market since 1990. The bank offers full range of services to individuals and corporate clients.

The renovated Ukrsotsbank emerged on 31 October 2016 as a result of strategic deal whereby 99.9% of Ukrsotsbank shares have been transferred from UniCredit Group to ABH Holdings S.A. (АВНН) in exchange for a minority 9.9% stake in ABHH. Thus, the bank has combined 26-year-old traditions of Ukrsotsbank’s client-centric attitude, European quality of service inherent to UniCredit, as well as international banking expertise of ABHH in a number of European countries including CIS. Thanks to the successful synthesis and synergy of the two assets of ABHH in Ukraine, Ukrsotsbank and Alfa-Bank, the banking market of Ukraine will see the rise of a new stronger financial institution. This, in turn, will spur up technological advance, increase efficiency, improve quality of service for the clients, reduce cost of banking services whereas their range will inevitably expand.

The extensive retail network of Ukrsotsbank consists of 237 branches, its headcount reaching nearly 5 thousand employees.
